Family Learn to Cycle and Cycle Confidence Event
A free event aimed at giving local people the skills and confidence to ride a bike in a friendly and supportive traffic-free environment.
Come along to this free event - a hub of support and advice for anyone interested in getting cycling.
Aims to help anyone gain the skills and confidence to make journeys by bike. A range of cycles and helmets will be available to borrow if required, as well as support for participants in finding a low-cost bike of their own.
Alongside sessions for adults and teens, Paul Ashman will be running children’s skills sessions which will cover everything from balance-bike skills to learning to cycle, and cycling confidence on pedal bikes.
There will be free basic bike repairs, bike security marking and local experts on hand. British Cycling ride leaders will also be leading some novice-friendly guided rides.

The event is inclusive for all. Advice and support will be avaliable for disabled people on adapted cycles, and opportunities to try a range of family cycling accessories to help you get cycling with children. Booking for children's and adults cycle sessions is required to secure a place but otherwise the event is a drop in event between 2 -6pm.

The events are run by volunteers in coordination with Swindon Borough Council, thanks to a Together Fund grant received from Sustrans and Sport England.
